Klingon Empire extract in Star Trek Magazine

PaulSimpson

Writer/Editor
Captain
Just a quick heads up that an extract from KRAD's new Klingon Empire novel is in the new issue of Star Trek Magazine that should be available at all good newsstands over the next few days.
Also inside: John Cho and Zachary Quinto give official interviews about being cast as Sulu and Spock; Dayton Ward and Kevin Dilmore examine what makes a good Starfleet captain; Kate Mulgrew's interviewed, and there's a preview of Star Trek Legacy...

Oh, and next issue, out late February, will include a very interesting excerpt from the first Terok Nor novel!

I just want to say that it's really nice to see the Magazine pimping the fiction like this. I think everybody wins when the diverse parts of the franchise play well together.

Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman

Cool, I'm really starting to think that once I get a job, I might get a subscription to the Trek magazine.

I used my xmas bonus to get the subscription. All I have to do is sit back and wait.

Ahhh.....Ahhhhhhh...Ahhhhh *Head explodes*

Question for you, KRAD. Will this novel be accessible to readers like me who havent read any of your previous Klingon novels? I'm really interested in this book. Just need to get caught up on New Frontier first.

Not to mention my article examining the love life of Captain James T. Kirk, a piece entitled "Of Ice and Moonlight."

Is it a bumper issue of the magazine then? ;)

Like I already said in an other thread, I got this issue the other day. In fact I'm just about to start Wardimore's article on the Captains.

Ooops. Sorry, David!! (My excuse is both KRAD and Dayton plugging your piece on their Live Journals...)

Nope, we just pack it full of goodness whether it's a 68 page or 100 page version...!

Well, I was only asking (since the sarcasm failed) because it seems like a doctoral thesis kind of subject and David RG III writes reeeeaaaalllly long stuff.

^ Well, I got the sarcasm.

Apart from that, though, sometimes writers are handed length limits. In this case, my article could be no longer than 2,000 words. In actuality, it clocked in at...well, 2,000 words. Wouldn't want to waste any, you know.

And what did the first draft come in at?
