Kirk's Hair (Shatner-ize it!)

It's a minor thing but for the future films I'm hoping they give Pine more of a Kirk-ish hairstyle as opposed to the one he had in Trek XI.

I know Shatner wore a piece but the TOS hairstyle would add to the iconic look. Something like this:

Even the ENT stylists tried to replicate the TOS hairstyles on the cast in the early seasons.

I think it would give him more of a commanding look.

Yeah, I'd like to see more of a TOS-like hairstyle on him. And I'd like all the cast to have the classic pointy sideburns, but that prob wont happen.

Well surely in the 24th century the opposite will be true: hair should be all over the place with a mismatch of styles from bygone vogues as well as new ones and also alien influences.

Also they will probably have tamed hair in those times: perhaps hair maintenance nanobots will be able to keep every strand in place or even make it grow into a pre-programed style, or even change in real time by some kind of follicular enhancement mechanism (FEM).

So i know this warp field student and he's decided to adopt a style based on the warp field configuration of a famous tellerite pop singer's sailing frigate: whenever he runs for a shuttle that he's late for, his hair streams spectral colours and goes 'whoosh'.

But yes, i think that hair is too conservative for that time, it should be more like the hair seen in films like 'the fifth element'.

Some did have the pointy sideburns...







Granted, some didnt, such as Pike and few other officers, buyt the KElvin officers did have the pointys if i remember.

I kind of liked it in the movie the way it was... and I did see some of the pointy sideburns too. It's all good in the end

wow, i saw those Vanity Fair pictures just yesterday and also thought he looked much more like Shatner's rendition of Kirk in those photos. It gives more of a "Classic" look while in this current Star Trek, Pine's looked more like a college kid that was more interested in getting drunk. In the Princess Diaries, he also had more of a regal look so I know he can pull it off whatever look the directors are looking for.
