Kirk's Father in Trek 11 ?

Bones1864

Admiral
Any chance we will see Kirk's father in Trek 11 ? i read once in an old book about the making of the Original series that Rodenbery out in th writer;s bible that james Kirk's father was Killed by the Klingons when Kirk was younger.
I don't follow the Trek book out there. Seeing Kirk's father fight the Klingons hardcore and get a Wild Death Scene would blow people's minds. It would push young James to want to command a Starship all the more...

No, actually you didn't.

I think Kirk's father should be played by Elton John and Kirk should be played by George Michael.

This would really give Trek some broad mainstream popularity.

I dont think so.

I have no recollection of it, either. Roddenberry said very little about Kirk's family--we know only that he had a brother, three nephews and a sister-in-law (O:A and WALGMO?) and that his grandfather was fascinated by the Emperor Tiberius and his mother's first "love instructor" was named James (TMP novelization preface--part of a canonical grey area). We know he visitted realtives on Tarsus IV and that, presumably, Kodos killed some or all of them, but we don't know who those relatives were or how they were related to Kirk. Do we know any more? I don't think we do.
