Kirk Thatcher reveal Trek IV easter egg

I saw this on Reddit the other day, and I still question if Thatcher was actually in any position to be creating names in TVH. "T'Plana-Hath" is in the script, which does not have Kirk Thatcher's name on it in any capacity.

Of course, my copy of the script is an after-the-fact commercial copy. Anybody have a copy of the shooting script?

I'm not saying the story of the name coming from "Planet Hoth" isn't true -- it's at least plausible. I just question Thatcher crediting himself with the coinage of the name.

Does your copy mention Kiri-kin-tha's First Rule of Metaphysics?

T' Plane Hoth....or...mildly unscrambled, Planet Hoth!!

:wtf:. Um... That reminds me of this:

It does. I have the "Premiere Movie Script Library" edition from 1994. I'd love to know what the actual shooting script says.
Those releases were disappointing. They were usually based on the final version of the movie, so finding deleted moments in any of them was impossible.

Yeah, they’re pretty on a shelf, but useless for research.

Also flimsy, prone to damage due to the front cover cut-out, and their series is incomplete — they never did TMP.
