seems a bit pricey but tempted to get it -- maybe i will when the price eventually drops.

while there was a cliffhanger ending, I feel that it was satisfactory enough in that it resolved season 1's imminent plot threads -- it at least felt like an ending of a first novel of a series. At least we can assume how the story would ultimately play out.

sigh. what an impressively produced, classy series with actors and a story of calibre that one would expect on HBO/Showtime.... not NBC.

here's a MV using an appropriate song for the series:

I didn't care much for the pilot, too much heavy symbolism for my tastes. So fifty bucks would be too much for just a handful of episodes to a cancelled series.

Maybe if I find it in Wal-Mart's $5 bin....

I was so impressed that when the cancel was announced I stopped watching-I figure to get the dvd and watch the rest commercial free. A beautiful series.

It WAS a beautiful series. I loved every minute of it. I have put this set on my Amazon wishlist, in the vain hope that I will get it for Christmas.

Ian McShane could read the damn phone book, and I'd sit and watch it. ;)

I loved Kings too and was sad it didn't last. I'm not tempted to buy it for rewatching though... maybe I'll netflix it in a few years.

I'm interested in checking it out, however I need to know -- and if anyone answers, please use spoiler code -- does the series end on a cliffhanger? I don't need to know the circumstances, just a yes or no.

The reason I ask is if it does end without some kind of resolution I might be less inclined to buy it than if it at least has some form of end.

And before anyone pipes up, no I can't go online elsewhere and find out because I might encounter plot spoilers.

^^ I'd argue that at least the season's major plotlines are resolved by the end of the season. A new scenario/status quo is introduced for the characters at the end with hints of events to come begging to be watched, but it is by no means a cut-to-black-characters-in-jeopardy cliffhanger.

Knowing how the story of David actually ends in the bible, we probably have a good idea how the series would've ended had it continued. ;)

P.S. for anyone who's interested, the entire series is actually up on hulu.com for free watching.

Like I said in the other Kings on DVD thread, I'll pick this up once it's released on Blu-ray.
