Kindle versions of ST ebooks?

I've been planning on picking up some of the newer Star Trek novels on my new Kindle and I had a question about these for any of you that have purchased ST ebooks on a Kindle. Do the Kindle version ST ebooks have proper covers or are they just generic covers? I've noticed quite a few of the Kindle ebooks sold on Amazon advertise the book with a nice cover, usually the same cover shown for the paper version of the book but, when you actually get it on your Kindle, it only has some ugly, extremely generic cover. I know there's a lot more to a good book than the cover and I may not care too much with some other book but I've always loved the cover art on ST novels.

Also, for anyone that may've looked at some of their ST Kindle books on their computer with the Kindle reader software, are the covers in color? I know they only display in b&w on the Kindle but I was curious if the actual image was still a color image or if they'd converted to try and save space. I'm just thinking way down the road when they have some fancy color e-ink version of the Kindle.

Anyway, thanks for any info guys and good reading. I'm reading the Vanguard series right now and loving it!

I use kindle for pc and also have a Sony PRS-505, I just checked a few of my Star Trek Kindle books and they all had the same covers as the DTF (Dead Tree Format) versions in colour.
