KILLZONE 2. Anybody playing?

Just finished the single player campaign - great game! Not the most compelling of stories, but pacing and setpiece wise, it was an awesome (but short) ride.

The game's extraordinary visuals need not be mentioned, as they've been gabbed about to death.

So, anybody playing? Multiplayer is quite deep, and probably worth your time.

I would play but I'm sort of burnt out on the FPS genre. That and I already placed down a pre-order for the 90 dollar RE5 collectors edition :borg:

I'm playing - currently stuck on getting across the bridge. I'm not too far into it, hehe. I'm not really a multiplayer gamer, so I probably won't be doing that at all. I tried a couple of botmatches and got my ass handed to me pretty quick.

The 1.24 patch is now live.

This patch is the biggest one yet, and addresses a large number of reported issues, exploits and bugs - but it also adds new functionality to the game for you to enjoy! I would like to highlight the fact that we are adding 3 new ranks to the game, reached at 5000, 10000 and 100000 points respectively. These ranks do not give any rewards but it allows the real hardcore players to show off their hard work to everyone in-game! Other highlights include a new 17-24 player search game filter, enlarged HUD radar distance and a much requested ?Join Clan Member? tab in the join game screen. The patch also allows you to play against the next batch of contenders: Japan, who will be able to buy their copies of Killzone 2 on the 23rd of April and will be joining the community online.

Apparently they are also working on a way of introducing a COD-style party system, to make it easier to play with friends online. Should be pretty sweet.

I tried the demo, but it wasn't really my thing. It felt too stiff and awkward for my tastes, and I know that's by design. I'm not a big shooter fan in general, so I'm sad to say I let this one go and played Noby Noby Boy instead.
