Trelane
Lieutenant Commander
Archer marries and settles down after becoming an Ambassador after a nearly-successful election as Federation President. Has a daughter that takes after Sato's excellent savant-like abilities with languages and helps develop Starfleet & The Coalition's universal translator system. His wife nearly dies (twice) in combat during the Romulan-Earth Conflict at Archer's side, but eventually divorces him as she realizes that he's more married to his career and somewhat resents Sato's relationship with their daughter and soon-to-be-ex-husband.
Sato remains single while being deployed with the Federation Diplomatic Corps for the longest time. Dates a civilian consultant in an ongoing on-again/off-again relationship that results in adopting a child found orphaned on a derelict Starfleet vessel during the tail end of the Earth-Romulan War. All of this, while Sato acts as defacto godmother to Archer's daughter, assisting Sato to develop Starfleet's fledgling first few attempts to design effective Universal Translator algorithms.
Malcolm Reed, on a covert fact-finding mission to confiscate a Romulan Cloaking Device aboard a damaged bird of prey in modest to high risk territory is captured and assimilated by Romulans experimenting on captured Borg technology, foolish beings whom themselves have been assimilated. Is killed by his own MACO team or so they believe...when, two centuries later, he pops back up against the Federation.
