Khan vs Raiders

This weekend we watched THE WRATH OF KHAN and the next day we watched RAIDERS...I think Wrath of Khan is holding up better than Raiders. Maybe its because I am a TREK fan, to be sure, but I just think Raiders is starting to get that 'dated' and Khan isn't.

Raiders is still a great movie. But I think the acting in Khan is far better, and the FX are nearly about the same. As for story? Raiders does have that cool 'archelogy' thing going on, and Ford's charm. But Khan as a theme about growing old, and the depths to which a man will go to in act revenge.

What about you? What do you think is the better movie..

Raiders of the Lost Ark (not Arc) is the better film. It's more fun, it's got great set pieces and action, and it's just a rollicking old timey movie serial writ large. TWOK looks increasingly hokey and melodramatic to me with age.

Trek II is probably in the top 10.

I'm actually starting to think Raiders is looking dated and hokey as well. But hey, to each his own.

I firmly believe that Star Trek II is a much better movie than raiders........ but don't get me wrong, raiders is a fantastic movie! I just love the uniforms, the actors, the first Star Trek space battle and especially the refit Enterprise!
