Kelvin in Bobby's World

I was watching an episode of Bobby's World on my VHS, and I watched the Star Trek parody scene, the ship bears a resemblance of the U.S.S. Kelvin (sans engineering section on the top).

Wow... I don't know anyone who still has VHS. If it is "sans engineering section on the top" then it is not the USS Kelvin.
