Kate in Warehouse 13- OMG that fight scene how could i have missed it?

I came acrossed this gif by accident. I havent had the good fortune to see Warehouse 13 , but OMG Mulgrew can seriously throw a mean punch.. I have only seen her throw a punch on three occasions..One in a film which also starred Pierce Bronson , another time on Voyager and in a film starrring that guy from LA Law . It was so " girly"..But this shit is brilliant.. She just goes from Strength to strength . I love it

I hope someone on vimeo will put upload the entire series featuring Mulgrew

It looks like she is move shoving him than socking him one on the chin ..Even so she really puts everything into it and let the full range of her strength let rip ..That's what i like and it suits her so well.. Nothing like watching a "yearn worthy" girly punch

This is one of reasons why i love some of the characters she has played over the years . Janeway and Red -the best ..She is not afraid to be butch and does not shy away about trying new things with her characters - be that shaving their heads, playing a male roles ( she was in a documentary/film back in the early days where she played a woman who had an gender identity issue and dressed as a man), Forgot what it was called name

I think the fact she is prepared to stretch herself and come out of her comfort zone , stands her in good stand as one of the true old school thespians. Unlike the actresses who insist only take on roles that makes them look glowing under a certain lighting and look like someone suffering from Anorexia or Bulimia.. I do not mean to insult people who suffer from these diseases - but you get the jest of what im trying to say


I would love to know what happened in the scene in which that overwhelming display of emotion materized as a result of ..I am tearful just watching it.......

I must admit when Kate appeared on Warehouse 13 I was surprised. And must admit at first wasn’t sure about her character. But I have re-watched all of Warehouse 13 and I have started to like hr character a lot more. You can see a lot of Janeway in this character. But she seems a lot more personably as Pete’s mum, which was good another side of kate.

I thought she was very underused in W13, character needed flair. She's great at being larger than life like her role in Mercy, and NTSF. I was always pining for her to get a huge role where that was used and finally in Orange it happened.

I watched Mercy 1st run and only made it through 2? / 3? eps before I gave up on it and you KNOW how I feel about Mulgrew.

I feel bad about this. The kate parts really are VERY good. And the rest of it while annoying and lame and also Taylor Schilling is like a glass of milk as far as interesting goes, the rest of it is still much, much better than the black donnelys.

It was a great character. If they had just dropped all the emo nurses off the end of a pier and written it for her it would have been glorious stuff.

Unfortunately, I havent seen it .When i saw the publicity surrounding it and the articles went weird with the fact that Mulgrew /Ryan was going to be in it together (which the bastards led one to believe ) . I had to back up and was like, only to find out , they where due to star in separate episodes..Shame it was cancelled . Mulgrew as Petes Mother and Ryan his ex...da da da da would have been great possibilities . It would have been wonderful seing them butt heads again..such a shame

When i saw a short segment of Mulgrew in that slightly tight suit on the elevator with Myka??. I had yet another OMFG moment- so i was kinda put off from watching it and didnt hold much hope for it ..Im still not sure about it..Also whats this big chemistry between Mulgrew and Myka?

I absolutely hated NTSF..I really think that did not do any favours for Mulgrew what so ever and it made her look like a gimmick..It sadness me when she lowest her standards in desperation for work sometimes.. NTSF , Mercy , The best and the Beautiful, I live with Models are the ones i can name at the top of my head. Luckily she has managed to savage it with projects like OITNB and more to come . I hope ..She is certainly lucky to have survived such a fickle business for so long . She just needs to focus more on roles that compliments and not degrades her ..Although that may be hard for her to do .Think what you will with that comment ;-)

Very true Janeway7 I believe they could have had a lot of fun with the three of them. The chemistry was already there with Ryan and Mulgrew then throw Eddie personality into the mix man a good writer could have had fun.

I wonder why it was even cancelled? From what i read , the ratings was doing just fine

As for Mulgrew /Ryan's thing - a typical " so near but yet so far" situation. I think had the show continued and Pete's ex was to return . I think she will either be played by another actress or have it that Mulgrew/Ryan will feature in the same episode but not in the same scenes together

Have you seen it?? Is their any reference to Pete's ex wife in any of the scenes with Mulgrew's character ?
