Kare Kano aka His & Her Circumstances

Any fans of this particular anime? It's the sort of show guys aren't supposed to like but given it's humour and the care with which Gainax puts into all of it's works I got drawn in and couldn't stop watching.

Any other fans of the show?

Meh. It's okay. Not terrible, but there are others of the genre that are much better.

The artwork is kind of uninspired and both Miyazawa and Arima just weren't that interesting. Also, I didn't find it all too terribly funny.

And frankly, I don't know what's so great about Gainax

Gainax make some very good anime, but they aren't particularly more consistent with it than any other studio.

I really liked Kare Kano, but it isn't something I'd go back to repeatedly.
