Just tossing around fanfilm ideas

What do you suppose might be some cool fanfilms for someone to make? They don't need to be fully fleshed out ideas. Half-baked concepts are good too.

One idea I had today-- Stargate: Camelot. A medieval story about King Arthur, Mirdin, & the Knights of the Round Table traveling through the Stargate to distant worlds in search for treasures amonst the stars. After speeding through the last 2 seasons of SG-1, I thought this idea might be cool.

What kinds of ideas do you have?

My dream fan-film is a B&W Kurosawa-style samurai epic set in the Star Wars universe featuring Jedi. It would be subtitled, with the dialog in either Japanese or some alien pseudo-language. I've written the script several times but none of the drafts have really grabbed me, and so it remains in my head.

Mine would be more of a fan comic (or animation) which blends a near future setting and the old 50s look and feel, but from the prespective of.... well, sort of imagine near Earth orbit space truckers.... but less cruddy sounding. In an old space shuttle..... With only white person being part of the crew.
Unfortunately, the whole thing hinges on an RPG I'm doing (I GM and steal all the player's dialogue and ideas, then convert it into a script, getting rid of all that thinking).

Flash Gordon

The lackluster series made me think of ways of updating the idea but without neutering it like they have. The original serials did a lot with small budgets. Most of the Mongo costumes are really just period costumes. Keep the length short and fast, with cliffhangers.

Young Clark Kent (DONE RIGHT!)

I have had TONS of ideas on this. Long before Smallville came along. Make it work as a drama first and foremost. Not heavily reliant on effects. Make young Clark a very likable kid. Maybe some episodes in the town of Smallville. But many more of him after he leaves there.

Having very little details on his origins he seeks out any strange phenomena he hears about. During this time he is working for his College newspaper. In fact he gets in trouble with his editors and professors a lot. Because he tends to get personally involved with the people in the stories he covers. Trying to solve their problems himself. This is very important because it shows how difficult it was for Clark before he develops his dual identity.

Along the way he may encounter other future heroes. But all of them are lost and directionless. Not sure of what to do with their abilities. I imagine this early DC Universe was a bit like the Wild West. With a lot of metahumans operating out of control but underground. When Superman first publicly appears in costume he is the trailblazer that gave direction to all the rest.

I got more on this but I saving it for when I have the chance to develop it in detail...

That is probably the coolest idea I have heard all week. This would make an excellent animated show.

They could totally get away with it too, as Merlin had excellent knowledge of the Stargate, and it has already been shown that he's mischievous and doesn't really adhere to the Ancients' policy of non-interference.

I want a D-7 Klingon battlecruiser fighting with the Enterprise 1701 refit with updated effects.

Great lumbering effects shots as the great vessals turn and maneouver firing at each other like as in S.T:TWOK.

Ideally it would be initially 3 d-7's against 1 Enterprise but towards the end it would be 1 against 1.

I always felt TNG,DS9 and Voyager short changed us by never showing a full on confrontation after the poor money/technology restricted effects from TOS.

Even in the film S.T.6 they stopped the battle by surrendering.:brickwall:GRRRRR!:brickwall:I was so annoyed and disappointed.:brickwall:

Storyline could be a renegade bunch of Klingons :klingon::klingon::klingon: on a search for glory lead by a chrismatic leader coming upon some ancient powerful technology and enountering the Enterprise...

Please, please make me happy before I die.

So you missed "Way of the Warrior", and by extension, most of the latter seasons of DS9 then I take it?

Nope.

I saw them all.
They were mostly slugfest fleet battles with a mixture of various ships.Yes I saw a D-7 being blasted, etc, etc.
They are not what I am referring to at all.

I want something up close and personal with strategy, tactics, drama and tension maybe something a bit like "BOT"and EI,etc.

It certainly would have to be better than that shitty Stargate Infinity cartoon they aired on the FoxBox about 5 years ago.
