Just installed Firefox on my netbook

It says that it can't reach any sites. However, I can reach them with my other browsers. Could I have a restriction for firefox somewhere
Could be a firewall issue, or it could be a bum setting in the Fox. either way, it should be fixed by doing a reinstall.
Make sure "File -> Work Offline" isn't checked.

Well I do have GC. However, there are some things I have to keep in mind.
Using Microsoft OfficeLive won't let me use Chrome. However, using IE won't allow me to see the "save" buttons in flash programs such as OfficeLive or even photobucket. OfficeLive does take Firefox, so I thought I'd give that a try.
