Just got back from Portland ComicCon, very happy I went

We got a sitter for several hours and hit up the local con. I got my picture taken with Katee Sackhoff and my wife and I got pictures with Stephen Amell and Alan Tudyk.

My wife went as the TARDIS and our friend went as the 11th Doctor. They were one of about 200 female 11ths and TARDISes.

I went as Penguin from Gotham, and there was only one other Penguin there, but he was based on the comics, not the show.

Lots of clever costumes, including an inflatable Jabba, a Tank Girl with motorized tank, a robotic dalek, a couple fantastic stormtroopers and many different Arrow, Canary and others.

sounds great :)
Are there several different ComicCons? I think there was one in Portland last year, but maybe I confuse it with a different event. Also, there was a ComicCon in San Diego, a few years ago.
Are there several cons in always the same cities or is there only one that's switching from city to city?

There's several. But if you just say "ComicCon" without specifying, people will assume you're talking about San Diego. That's the really big one that usually gets national and global news coverage every year.

^^ ah! thanks for explaining! A pity we have no ComicCon in my country. The USare a bit too far away for my purse..
