Posted something similar years ago on a previous Star Trek BBS and got some fun responses. Thought I would repost it.
I voted for Risa. More seriously, though, if it was me me, I pick an admin job at HQ. If it was the other me, the me I’d be if I wasn’t me me. I’d be eating plomeek soup and getting down and dirty with the bowl cut fringed hotties.
Commanding officer of a Miranda class. The closest you get to being a working class hero in Starfleet.
Realistically, unless I'm working for the Romulans then Starfleet should ship me off to Risa. Even more realistically I'd probably be like Picard in that episode where he changes the past and gets his heart back.
I chose the Miranda-class command as well, because for years on Star Trek Online the only ship I had was my starter ship, which was called the USS Ulysses. I even filmed a short fan film about the Ulysses, which featured me as my Star Trek Online character, Victor Clark. It's on youtube, and I'm thinking about sharing it over at the Fan Productions forum.
"Space is disease and danger wrapped in darkness and silence." ~ Leonard H. McCoy, MD That's why I settled for the nice safe, quiet desk job at HQ.
Probably junior officer on the Federation Flagship, more than likely a blue shirt, in the medical track. Being someone like Martinez or Simon Tarses would suit me just fine. Might've even got me a few dates in with Ogawa
Of the presented options, probably an "administrative adjutant at Starfleet HQ." Otherwise, it would be chief operations specialist aboard a Nova-class starship with the rank of chief petty officer.
