Is there ever something that just makes you unable to quite take a show seriously?

I've been watching Hitler's Bodyguard on UKTV History, and it's a fascinating show, but... As with so many of these things it uses stock music from the De Wolfe music library, and as the theme tune they've chosen the bit of music that was used as the titular character's leitmotif in The Phantom Raspberry Blower Of Old London Town! I keep expecting to see a bit of faux newsreel footage of a cloaked assassin giving the Fuhrer an enormous raspberry...

Stargate is hard to take seriously.

Heroes can get pretty ridiculous at times.

24 is just so over the top, I don't think they want us to take it seriously.
