Just a small question about the ferenghi

Quark scene was to be at the very end of the movie. He arrives and tells Picard that he going to build a health spa on the planet, so off-worlders can receive the health benefits of the planet's rings.

Picard informs Quark that no one will be building spas there, because the planet is a Federation Protectorate. Picard then orders Quark beamed to the Enterprise, to be taken to DS9 with Worf.

This would have been a interesting and also confusing scene. Many Star Trek fans in discussions of this movie wonder why "spas" can't simply be build on a part of the planet far away from the Baku, eliminating the need to remove the ring particles and move them elsewhere. Picard's words with Quark would have seem to indicate that wasn't going to happen subsequent to the movie..

:)

Hi
the ferenghi doesn't appear in any of the trek films, right?

Besides the deleted scene mentioned, no. The problem is the Ferengi went from supposed scary villains to comic relief in record time, because their introduction was so poorly handled. It be hard to put them in a movie, because of that.
