Jurassic Park Redemption

Whofan

Fleet Captain
This is a comic series being published by IDW, taking place a few years after JP3 left off, with the islands still off limits to the public, but Tim Murphy-who has pretty much inherited his grandfather's riches-secretly building a new mainland Jurassic Park, which is suppossed to be only herbivores. But of course things don't quite go as planned, with Dr.Wu (BD Wong's character from the first film) and a rogue paleontoligst (Another parody of Dr. Bakker) creating carnivores behind his back. And of course they get out.
Plus there's a hint that there's some over force out there, manipulating events.

The writing's OK but the art isn't that great, unfortunately....anybody else reading this series?

Nope, not really. After TLW it seems the series has pretty much run into a creative rut-they either rehash the escaping Dinosaurs, Dinosaurs on the mainland, or think up something akin to Dino-Riders.

I do kind of like that Tim is doomed to repeat the Hammond curse though...

I always thought that if they made another JP it should follow an adult Tim somehow. Pair him up with the kid that got lost in the island from the 3rd film.

Joseph Mazello has been getting a lot of praise for the PACIFIC lately, so he's still kind of close with Spielberg...

What 3rd film? :p

I've said it before, I'll say it again: the next JP should be a two-season, in-depth adaptation of the Crichton books on HBO or Showtime.
