Juliet's comment...

Morpheus 02

Rear Admiral
Rear Admiral
...where she said something like "it worked".

i was just thinking...wasn't she at the "center" of the blast, just as Desmond was when the hatch blew up, causing him to travel in time, and experience different futures (i.e. that of Charlie, where he died every time)?

i wonder if Juliet experienced that...but it was only once, and in a "good" future before she died?

Had she lived, she might have seen instances where it did NOT work.

Ooh, I hadn't thought of that. She was definitely in the middle of the timey whimey Island hotspot. Perhaps she will have her own version of "The Constant" later this season.

Before she told Sawyer there was something important she needed to tell him, she babbled something like, "We can go Dutch." We'll probably see her tell someone that in the other timeline.

She said they should go for coffee and 'we can go Dutch' and then died :(

I'm thinking it'll be portrayed similarly to how they did the "Richard tells Locke what to do" last year. We saw Richard come out of the jungle knowing exactly how to fix Locke's leg and giving him vital information he couldn't possibly have known, then near the end of the season we saw the circumstances behind it. My bet is that we'll see Juliet in the alt-timeline one of these days and it'll explain her "it worked" and the coffee/go dutch stuff.

In last night's episode, did the little bit they did with Jack's appendix scar imply that Jack's mind was somehow synching up from Reality B (normal) to Reality A? (I wondered if the scar was the injury he got in the crash! Or was the idea that Reality A Jack never had his appendix out?)

Maybe there's some communication between realities between minds of the same person, as long as they were close to the blast at the time? Was Juliet in telepathic communication with her Reality B doppleganger, and that is how she knew "it worked"?

Juliet took out Jack's appendix in season four. The scar seems to suggest a physical connection between the two realities, not just a mental one.

Didn't Jack notice a strange bruise/cut on his face when he was on the Airplane in the first episode of this season, in the "Alternate timeline"? It was a match for an injury he had in the main reality, back on the island. In the alternate timeline he kind of glanced at it and made a "how did that happen?" face. So we have already seen some physical crossover between the realities.

One thing I noticed was that the appendix scar was on the opposite side of his abdomen. At least I thought appendix scars were on the right rather than left.

Depends where the appendix is in the human body. Like every other organ in the human body, it's randomly assigned a location at birth.

You mean some people have their lungs in their legs and their kidneys in their nasal cavity? :p

It's usually a 50/50 chance if the gluteus maximus and cerebral cortex are in the same place from person to person...

It was on his right, which is where it is in most people, and where it was when he saw it removed before. Don't let mirrors trick you.

UOTE]

This goes far in explaining a few things.

Just thinking back, on the bathroom in "LA X", Jack noticed a cut on his neck that he hadn't noticed before either.
