Edit: It has turned out that Ms. Strain is not actually dead. Malibu Bay Films, a company she has had a decade-long working relationship, had been duped to announce her death and has since retracted.

Strain appeared in more than 100 movies and did her own stunts. For eleven years she was married to TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman, who based the heroine of his graphic novel "The Melting Pot" (with Simon Bisley) on her. When the book was adapted into the animated "Heavy Metal 2000", aka "F.A.K.K.²", Strain also voiced the character, and did promotional photo shoots in the characters outfit (as seen above).

Strain had a horse riding accident and suffered a severe head injury, resulting in heavy memory loss. In November 2018, she revealed to suffer from late stage dementia, most likely also caused by the injury. She passed away on January 12, 2020.

I don’t know what to make of this as I just happen to be up for a couple of minutes and am groggy as hell before going back to sleep but I just happened to surf another site and saw this that she may NOT be dead. Again, I have not looked into this thoroughly so don’t hang me if I’m wrong.

Huh. Well, both relieving and disturbing. Who would put this kind of false news out there that the company would trust enough to not double check on it?

Wait, you mean we can't always trust what's on teh interwebz?
Her death was announced by Malibu Bay Films, the company Strain has been working for on most of her films, and then picked up by The Hollywood Reporter, so, yes, I trusted these sources on the matter. And Malibu Bay Films said their's had been a trusted source, so either it was a misunderstanding on the studio's part, or it was a particularly distasteful lie.
