At least here in the U.S., there seem to be a million of them on television now - you now, the reality-type shows where two people have a small-claims type grievance and appear before a judge to have it out. (Being unemployed for two months, I've had time to notice. :)) A question for our friends in other parts of the world: do you have court shows there too?

Who among you will own up to watching any of them? If you do, vote for your favorites. If I've missed listing your favorite, list it here.

My personal favorite is 'The People's Court' with Judge Marilyn Milian. She's tough, but fair, and doesn't treat the people that come before her like idiots, while also actually bothering to explain the legal precedents most of the time.

I like watching Judge Millian, Judge Judy, Judge Mathis & Judge David Young, although Judge David Young is supremely drama now with the lie detector booth and all that junk.

Judge David Young is a bit much overall.

I used to watch Judy but she's just too screechy and rude for me. I actually find myself getting mad at her. I also used to watch Judge Joe but it got very boring for me after a while. The cases all seem repetitive.

I'm too young for Judge Wapner. Does anyone miss Judge Koch or Judge Scheindlin from The People's Court? I thought they both did well and Judge Scheindlin was/is Judy's husband which I think speaks to what a marvelously patient man he must be.

^ I think Judge David Young was great at first, but he went gimmick very quickly.
Judge Judy has worn me down a bit. There are times when she is obviously wrong on something but she trots out the "I've been doing this for so and so many years" excuse and no one catches her on it. Particularly in the face of technology.

It also annoys me that she (Judy) doesn't really bother to explain her positions, or why she rules like she does. It's pretty much just 'You're STUPID! You LOSE!' The end.

I pretty much like them all. I will admit that Judge Judy is getting annoying. She pretty much insults them at times. I'm surprised no one has kicked the bailiff in the balls and tried to choke her yet. As for the bailiff, I forgot his name, but I cant stand him. He stands up there like he is too good to interact with the people and he acts so bored when he walks over to get their evidence. This loser has one of the easiest jobs in the world. Heck, I wish I could stand up and listen to people's problems and just have to walk a couple feet occasionally and get paid big bucks doing it.

I like Judge Mathis; the parties & circumstances (and their explanations and exchanges) are usually very interesting and Mathis can be counted on to be biased to one side or mock both, it's a lot of fun.

It also annoys me that she (Judy) doesn't really bother to explain her positions, or why she rules like she does. It's pretty much just 'You're STUPID! You LOSE!' The end.

She just goes staight for the juggler vain, she is great and holds no words bad:evil:
