Am I the only one worried that Lundy returning is gonna start off some soap style antics with Deb and what's his face CI?

I LOVE Dexter. What a great, great, great, great show. Awesome news that Lithgow is joining, and even more interesting that Lundy may be returning. I wonder how that will affect Deb? I have noticed, though, that the show follows a certain pattern. It's not really a problem since it's always so well-written, but Lithgow being contracted for 12 episodes (a full Dex season) makes it seem like S4 won't break the mold.

Spoiler: Dexter seasons 1-3

Dexter always meets a major focus of a season (his brother, Lila, Miguel) and gradually learns that this person can give him the option of being himself and breaking free of his put-on everyday persona, but he eventually decides he can't do it and kills them. My hope is Lithgow's character doesn't follow the same path, buddying up with Dexter then in the end getting killed by him.

Infact after seeing Jimmy Smitts on Dexter and his stint on the West Wing, he has become one of my favourite TV actors and dam he needs a show of his own. Dexter why didn't you let him go so Showtime could of given him a killer spinoff (joke).
