John Boyega was getting racist harassment, responds

Not to sound naïve, but I just don't believe these sorts of threats come from real fans. I believe threats are made but that come from folks who go around trolling celebrities.
I thought so too, but spending some time on Twitter made me think otherwise.

If they are then it truly makes me cry. I mean I'm from the time when fandom really felt fraternal. There seemed a bond of mutual respect and appreciation. I guess that's all lost to a bygone era.

Are you the same person who was ranting about Steven Universe a few months ago or was that someone else?

Yes, and it needs to be done, because I believe in quality television as well as quality animated TV series, and this show isn't either. Also, it has a toxic fanbase who, although they didn't succeed at causing the particular girl of the incident I provided a link to to commit suicide, will probably cause another to do so, with nobody in the media caring as last time because all of the attention is on Star Wars fans being toxic when there's also toxic left-wing emoprogressive fans of this show acting the same way, and towards a vulnerable average person who wasn't a celebrity.

Steven Universe is quality television and animation, I haven't watched every episode, but I've seen and read enough to know that it's a great show.
I also don't think it's fair to blame a show for what it's fans do.

If other shows can be blamed, so can this one. And I'm doing so because it is shit, and deserves to be treated as such.

Sad that Genndy Tartakovsky (who did the art for one episode of this show) had a great show with a male and female hero on it which was well written and drawn properly that got canceled due to foolishness at Cartoon Network, but this POS can go on season after season just because....LGBT.

Or because it was a hit show with a big fan base, and great reviews. I watched the first four episode a while back, and I really enjoyed them. Since it was early they hadn't gotten real deep into the mythology, but they were pretty fun. I only stopped because I decided to cut back on how much stuff I was watching, but I definitely plan on getting back to it soon.
