I've always admired Jim Rugg and his work on TOS special effects/props (kudos to Wah Chang also). I found out several months ago that Mr. Rugg lived in retirement only a few minutes from my house in San Diego County, before his passing in 2004. Dammit! I would have loved to stop by and chat with him about his ST experience.
