JetBlue flight attendant goes berserk

This flight attendant went berserk, cussed out a passenger over the intercom, ejected the inflatable emergency slide, and then grabbed some beer and took off down the slide. Nobody was hurt. The story seems like something that would happen at the end of a comedy. I know somebody on here is a flight attendant so I thought they would be amused by the story.

mr coaster is a FA but he doesn't post a whole lot anymore, if at all.

Contrary to Hollywood belief the doors of a plane cannot be opened when it is at altitude.

I like this guy already. Please tell me there is video of this glorious event.

LOL to this part of the story:

"Slater was later arrested at his home in Belle Harbor, Queens by Port Authority officials. He was found by police in a sexual embrace with his partner."

You GO! Run away, swig down a few beers and get laid.

All kidding aside, any public service job has got to suck. Then again, I've run into my fair share of public servants who are total assholes and who obviously didn't get the memo that the "customer is always right."

Still, funny story, from a reader's viewpoint.

as a civil servant, I'd argue not only is the customer always wrong, they always think they are right.

Nothing sucks more than the moment you realize your wrong. The customer doesn't understand that when they are wrong its best to agree and move on and not argue forever.

Laws and regulations are there for a reason, not to prevent you from building your fence.

Dogbert's two rules of business:

1) The customer is always right.
2) They must be punished for their arrogance!

:D

Yes, there is at Yahoo.
A couple of folks have changed their opinions of him being a hero after hearing him open his mouth. Now some are just calling him a prissy queen.

Have you got a link?

I googled up a CGI reconstruction but even that had "this content is not currently available" (presumably the collected lols destroyed the server).

that is a rather unique way of quitting one's job. it would be almost understandable had he won the lottery, perhaps.

Bit disturbing, all the Facebook friends this jerk has. :wtf:

I guess there are lots of people who think it is okay to just go apeshit on customers and steal beer and all that crap.

I mean, come on. We all have to deal with bad customers. It is because WE HAVE TO. It's our JOBS. We don't have the luxury of a temper tantrum. And no matter how much of a jackass the customer might be, it doesn't give us the right to unload on them. What if Slater had hit the passenger? Should he have been allowed to do that too?
