TV Shows on DVD says that MGM is going to make the second season available as a MOD (Manufacture on Demand). Sadly, it won't be available to ship outside of the US but you can pre-order it on Amazon.com now. No word on the exact release date or cover art.

Jan-You made my day! I have like 2-3 threads inquiring about this over the last few years. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Why did it take so long to come out? I ended up catching all of Season Two on Sci-Fi Channel mid-day marathons. It was alright.

Pity it's not available on DVD or iTunes in the UK. I'd quite like to see this series. I hear that seson 2 was better than season 1 as well.

Jeremiah was decent, even with the recycled B5 speeches... except for that one stupid Elephant episode. The elephant episode really sucked.

God, it's been, like 5 years since my wife and I watched season 1 on DVD. We're gonna have to watch it all over again to get a recap first.

You're in for a treat, then. The resolution of the season one cliff-hanger left me stunned.

DVD-R Note: This product is manufactured on demand when ordered from Amazon.com.

I just saw this and i was like "huh?" According to Amazon it is coming out on March 3rd. I have never heard of this "manufactured on demand" but i see the first post that says it was announced by MGM some time ago. For nearly $40 i am not sure i want to buy aftermarket DVD-R's.

^^Warner Bros operates a Manufacture on Demand service through it's online store, where classics and other films they deem not quite popular enough of supporting wide release are offered, but I haven't heard of any other studio/distributor trying it out. I don't understand how if they're releasing s2 normally, why they'd authorize Amazon to fill their orders thru a M-O-D basis.

Edit-Ok, I've done some quick reading across a few Google searches, and it is MGM handling the process in totality, not some anonymous fly by night company, so I don't think there's any reason for alarm. Not a separate M-O-D for amazon orders, and regular pressed dvds for stores as I assumed upon first reading.

The 'not shipping outside of the US' thing disappeared a while ago as well.

As such, my copies' waiting to ship on the 3rd. Hurrah!
