Japanese Kids make English Comic Strips

OK, when you said junior high, I was thinking 6th grade (had no idea when they started learning English). Still, their understanding seems pretty good, which is cool.

What? You mean the lunch lady complains at them if they don't eat their food? As in, they could make he kids stay back if they didn't or couldn't finish? :cardie:

There isn't even a trashcan in the lunchroom. As for the lunch lady complaining, I have NEVER seen a student not finish his or her food (I am told the only excuse is being sick enough to go to the doctors!); case in point, one time we had to eat this pickled root covered in vinegar and fish embryos. I hated it... worst thing ever. The kids hated it. They forced down every bite with the facial expressions to match their hatred.

To be fair, for the most part, Japanese school lunch is freaking delicious (and healthy to bat).

While I'm sure it does taste a lot better than our lunch food for the most part, that just seems really draconian. I mean, is a kid going to get punished by the lunch monitors or what?? :cardie:

Student law review article which is required for full membership for the journal but has maybe a 10% chance of ever getting published. It's also not really going to come all that close to hitting the minimum requirements for pages (my guess is I'll reach 35 pages).

But enough about me. Let's go back to looking at cute Japanese drawings.

If it doesn't get published in your school's journal, consider submitting it to other journals. There are hundreds of them, and your article could probably find a home in one of those.
