Nice story!
The fact that Tom was just abandoned to that Cardassian prison never sat comfortably with me, and it's always been my intention to follow that up...just never found the time.
So many possibilities given the ever changing political structure of the Cardassian Union, invasion by Klingons, team up with the Dominion etc.
