OK well this is just a first step, and it'll be a while before I can get to finish it, but here's my opening idea...
I want to do the mirror-Borg -- which I don't think has been done [except maybe in the turgid depths of the Shatnerverse lol]. My take is going to be that morally-inverted Borg are good guys, emphasizing the enhanced individuality of their members. The collective becomes a supporting structure, not a controlling one, and the cyber-implants are voluntary enhancements.
