The theme for January is simple - Damage. Interpret that however you like - it could be damage to a ship, planet, equipment, individual, or even (if you can figure out how to show it) someone's mental state. Despite the ENT episode of the same name, I had a rather odd bit of inspiration for the challenge this month. An SUV happened to plow through a local comic book store this morning: Thankfully nobody in the store was hurt, but the driver's in the hospital due to a possible seizure. But he did plow through the section with all the board games and miniatures (including Star Trek Attack Wing!), and that's going to be expensive to replace. As always, entries due by the 31st. Email them to ptrope *at* gmail *dot* com as well as posting them in this thread.
Yikes! What a messy crash. And what luck that no one inside was hurt. Great theme - I have an idea already (not inspired by the OCD inducing mess above, though ) Better go and get my pencils and paper out...
Well isn't that a bloody mess. Glad everybody's (kind of) okay, but damn, the speed at which the driver rammed through the front is mind boggling...
Alright. I have a bit over a week before I'm back to being a working grunt. I'll do one of those LEGO creations. I have a couple ideas
Yow! When you said they drove *through* the store, you weren't kidding! Glad everyone's okay, and hope both the shop owner and driver have *lots* of the appropriate insurance.
And here we have my entry! Of all the ships that could have crossed the inter dimensional boundary, the ISS Cole was probably least equipped to handle such an event. Captain Radagast hopes he can find a way to return to the Empire before he gets blown to tiny bits and pieces, but it seems the damage is already done; the crew of the USS Carolina made sure of that. [EDIT] The owner of the wallpaper threw a fit that I hadn't contacted her first before using it as my background and wasn't satisfied with just being credited, so it had to go. Replaced it with a Getty Images stock photo, which isn't half bad.
