Jadzia's Hair

Is it just me, or did Jadzia's hair often look a little big when it was in a pony tail? It looked like she had a big head up top (I don't know how to describe it). While Jadzia was always one of my favorite characters (I know I'm a minority in this opinion), her hair would annoy me when she styled it this way... which was quite often.

I have long hair too and also like to put it in a pony tail. But, it doesn't look like that....

I always thought it was a wig or hair extensions in those early days.

I remember when I first saw her on Entertainment Tonight during the first ever footage of the show in production while the pilot was being filmed. Her hair was originally shorter (no ponytail). I wished they would have kept that look.

Joined Trills are forbidden from re-associating with their past lives by a strong taboo. I can't imagine that Ezri would have any claim on Jadzia's inheritance.

Rather be pretty than talented - carry off a scene or hot I'd venture that she lives in a better house than you or I.

I think that hairstyling was a huge problem on Trek from TNG onward. It did wonders for everyone when they let their hair get mussed up a bit. Janeway, I'm looking at you!

I'm not sure if the OP is confused about why Jadzia's hair was big or thinks that it looks bad. I don't have a problem with either, because as noted, they couldn't have romantic curls flowing in the wind or something.

As for the style itself, lots of women do something similar. It's like when Penny from Big Bang Theory has just part of her hair pulled back and she does the same type of thing with it.
