Apologies if this has already been posted, but the man who was the face of Jimmy Olsen for years before Michael Landes and Justin Whalin has died:

Jack Larson, who is most famous for his role as photographer/cub reporter Jimmy Olsen on TV's The Adventures of Superman, died Sunday at his home in Brentwood, Calif., The New York Times reports. He was 87.
Born in Los Angeles and raised in Pasadena, Larson was offered the role as Clark Kent's sidekick in 1951, although Larson, who aspired to be a Broadway actor, was reluctant to accept the part for fear of being typecast.
The series premiered in 1952 and enjoyed a six year run, ending in 1958 after George Reeves's (Clark Kent/Superman) death, which was officially ruled a suicide. After the series went off the air, Larson's typecasting fears were seemingly confirmed and he spent the remainder of his career focusing on behind-the-scenes work, such as writing and production.

I will miss this guy, he essayed Jimmy for me quite well when I watched The Adventures of Superman as a kid. Rest in peace, Jack.

Larson did a great job playing Olsen. It is nice that he got to see how popular superheroes and superman in film would get again before he passed away. I wish he would have gotten a cameo in the BvS film. It would have been cool that he would have been in a film with Batman after all those years since he was in AoS. His series is now on DVD and is being discovered all over again. Hopefully he was gratified later in life for the fame he got from the role.
