It's Trek Pasta Night!

Once again friends, I need to choose between two classic episodes while I prepare the "abbondanza" (the abundance!).

Since I am reading Vanguard I'm leaning toward "The Tholian Web". However, I'm also in the mood for some fisticuffs. Hence choice #2, "Arena"!

The dinner? Large, stuffed cheese ravioli, sweet Italian sausage & meatballs, fresh Italian bread with the garlic-butter sauce baked in. 2-3 ice cold beers and a glass of wine for my wife.

No salad tonight. I had grilled salmon and green beans last night so I don't feel so guilty.

Nothing says "sausage and meatballs" more than a Gorn in the desert. Pick Arena! Also gives your dinner an outdoorsy feel! :-)
 
I think you add a combination of sulfer, coal, potassium nitrate and diamonds to the menu and go with Arena.

You may want to eat outside.

You guys are the best. I look forward every 2-3 weeks to this night and my wife thinks I'm nuts.

It may very well end up being the Gorn (who I met live in person 10 months ago at the 40th convention).

The only freaky thing about the episode is that freaky looking Metrone!

^ Now this is a great idea. Plan an Arena theme night.

Cannoli plus a curry, carrot or squash dish for the orange color. You could make an olive paste for the bread to cover the coal. Grated cheese would be the saltpeter. And for the diamonds, give your wife present for desert. Even some inexpensive diamond ear rings would do the job.

You'd get laid that night for sure, TheLonelySquire. :devil: :thumbsup:

lol...She's Brazilian..I don't need to give a gift for that!

How about manicotti as the cannon...pack it with ricotta as the sulfur...and the diamond can be a meatball? Parmesan for the igniter.

As long as you let her know ahead of time that dinner would be Star Trek Pasta Night: Special Edition. This wasn't going to happen all the time. Otherwise the next Pasta Night she'd get done eating a magnificent meal you'd cooked and say, "What, no diamonds?"

You're giving me ideas...I'm a big tiki drink maker: maybe I could do a party for eps that feature oddball drinks...
 
As much as I love The Tholian Web, I'd definitely prefer to be feasting with Arena (which gets my vote).
 
Go with ARENA. It goes better with a meal. Something about the earth tones, rocks and desolation.
 
Trek Pasta Night! Now that's a good idea! I wonder if I can convince my wife (not really a ST fan, I'm sad to say).
 
The Gorn was in all his splendor tonight guys. The food was great as were the cold ones. I ALWAYS forget to take a picture.

Gorn pasta always rocks. But you have to check the sauce for discarded teeth and scales.
 
Go with Arena.

McCoy being a total douchebag in "Tholian Web" would upset your stomach.
