I didn't even think about the leather jackets being in almost everything! Looks like those and eyeballs are the hallmarks of a Kurtzman production!
I wish 32nd Century DISCO had used leather jackets instead of the "even more monstrous maroons"

I would have liked to have seen the movie era maroon for a quick bit on Garrett in Section 31.
Yes, but leather jackets are too common and the unique black badges in Discovery were far too small, in my opinion. I believe that Kurtzman's version of Section 31 should also wear neon orange hats with holographic displays that read "Section 31". That way, the two people in Starfleet that didn't get their complementary Section 31 coffee mug at the Academy and don't know about the "top-secret" organization will be able to identify them more readily. 
Or those toy helmets with the blinking red light on top.
