It's raining in Oklahoma City! It's finally raining!!

Eastern Oklahoma has gotten drenched, but Oklahoma City hasn't gotten a drop of rain for two months until this morning. It's pouring. It's cool and clean and glorious. No more worrying about grass fires burning up my babies in my house while I'm at work. It's been that bad. I need my four legged babies.

I was beginning to think it was never going to rain again. The humidity has been so low I've been getting nose bleeds. The joy, the glory!!! Now if only west Texas can get some rain.

I know the feeling. Australia had years and years of drought, even Tasmania. so when the rains began we really appreciated it.

Of course in Australia those years of drought often include bad bush-fires (which Victoria got on 2009) and then serious flooding (which the four Eastern states have had this year) but I hope that this doesn't ever happen in Oklahoma.
