It’s a beautiful day today!!

Fresno in the spring IS beautiful.

The trees are all leafed out, or in process. Fresno has many crepe myrtles, so they’re getting all their leaves, but no flower buds yet. They’re gorgeous all over town when in flower. And all the japanese maples are so delicate. I think Hubby would make our entire backyard look like the japanese maple garden over at Fresno State--completely shaded on even the sunniest days with the full covering of leaves.

The grapevines are starting to unleash their tendrils. We’re hoping our three little grapevines give some nice grapes this year. We’re liking to take routes past vineyards and orchards of citrus and fruit, just to enjoy the blossoms and scents.

I noticed that the flowers bloom a bit later than those in LA, but there’s more of them here. It looks like this may be a good year for our roses, finally.

Anyone else enjoying spring in their area?

I was enjoying it last weekend when it was in the 70s and 80s.

This morning it was snowing.

It is beautiful today, finally!

Man, spring has been taking its own sweet-ass time around here.

BTW: Fresno is never "beautiful". There are just varying degrees of depression and misery.

:p

^I was going to say the same thing about Fresno. But at least they aren't Stockton, chosen as the most miserable city in the country!

Yes, it is quite beautiful today. I wish I wasn't so tired today or I would go out and actually do something. Instead I will admire the outdoors from my couch as I watch movies. But tomorrow I may go out...don't know where though.

It was beautiful yesterday. Today is kinda miserable and raining. Might be related to that giant storm moving east, I'm not sure.

Cold and rainy here today. Yesterday was nice, though. Sunny, though a bit on the chilly side... think it was around 8 or so.

Rojo, we're apparently experiencing the same storm. The snow is at the very top half, while it's much too warm up here for it.

Oh, well, Fresno THE CITY isn’t very good looking. But the plants, trees, flowers, and such ... that’s pretty. I’ve made Hubby promise that we’ll spend a day at Yosemite soon. After the snow starts melting more but before it gets crowded. The Park Service is expecting record crowds this summer.

If you can get over the stench of Hanford, I suppose...

With all the rain and snow this year, everything should be good to go this summer.

:techman:

I spent my day performing my monthly military duties. I didn't see much of the weather from our office, but it felt great when I was running this morning. :techman:

Well since the weather is so nice I thought I would mention that there will be free entrance into National Parks starting today and going until April 24th, due to National Park Week. So it might be a good time to go (though crowded perhaps)!

Yep, it is! -weather-wise the last couple of days have been quite summer'ish -I even got a sunburn sitting in the yard with my parents for a couple of hours the other day.

Today the farmers market was a nice experience -fruit and veg always look good in sunlight :)

It is a nice, sunny autumn day in Hobart. Current temperature 15C (59F). Much better than earlier in the week (Wednesday) when we got almost double the entire average rainfall for April in just a few hours, and continued to rain heavily for the rest of the day and all of Thursday as well. There was flash flooding in some suburbs in Hobart.

I am so sick of rain - we didn't even get a summer this year.
