Issues with Memory Beta...

Hallo thar.
I went to Memory Beta, memory-beta.wikia.com (the non-canon Star Trek wikipedia), and suddenly, the window shrunk, and a thingy popped up saying, "Warning! Your computer might have a virus etc... something something... AntiSpy live scan" As I have had dealings with this kind of malware before, I avoided the "OK" button and shut down my computer (it was the "only way out"). I haven't gone back to Memory Beta since.
So... anyone had this problem? No? Just me?

Run a spyware/adware check on your computer. Sounds like the problem might be on your end.

Just took Memory Beta for a spin and didn't have any issues. *shrug*

This is a marketing spam to try and scare you into buy some virus service, it happened to me in the past and I was told I had over a thousand viruses and over thousand troghan horses too. When I ran my scan I found nothing, just captalism in operation.

Did you try hitting Ctrl + W to shut the window down? That might help you get out of there without having to shut your whole computer down.
