Is Trek Lit Enough?

Csalem said:

As for variety, I mix my reading. I read a lot of Trek but also Agatha Christie, Clive Cussler, Robert Harris, have started on Robert Ludlum and the Harry Potter books and I also read some history books for pleasure. Variety is the spice of life.

I recently decided to spread out from reading just SF and Hist books and have read two ludlum books and two Harry Potter books and it was refreshing actually.

I have the bad habit of getting bored with a book half way through and quiting, and I found that that helps. Plus, it also allows me to get though all of the books I wanted to read quicker.

It is very rare for me to put a book down. I end up reading it all the way through. I keep hoping, it will get better.

Actually, when I quit reading it's usually it's fairly eary. Usually if I get through the first 100 pages or so I'm most likely going to keep going. And now that I think about it's not so much boredom, as simply deciding I have something else I want to read. Luckily I'm finally making good progress through my reaing list, so I've been finishing everything for the past few months now.

What I am planning to do is finish all the books I have started. I'm going to pick one and read it till it's done. Then go on to the next until I have no books in the works. Then I'll decide what to read next. I'll still probably end up reading multiple books with at least one being a Trek book. I have some mysteries I want to read once my list is finished.
