Is this a 'real' job?

I just watched three of her videos, very funny, so I subscribes. Thanks for bringing her to my attention.

I actually look at YouTube videos more than I look at TV or DVDs. One of my favourites for last month was AronRa's Godzilla Taxa.

I am waiting for the day you can make money posting shit on forums.
You already can get paid to do that. Look into a site called Postloop and another one called TextBroker.

Just doing clickwork/microtasks, I'm clearing $20 to $80 a week sitting in front of the computer doing Google searches and sorting products for online catalogs.
I've been doing Amazon Mechanical Turk for quite a few years now. The only catch is that they don't pay Canadian workers in any other way than a merchandise credit that has to be used on amazon.com. It's not transferable to amazon.ca.

Most hits there were fun or interesting, or the kind that went really fast. I got paid 70 cents for 2 posts on a jewelry forum (had to look at some photos of jewelry and say something nice about them; that was easy, because they were very pretty necklaces and brooches). Mind you, I could have done without the task where I was categorizing blogs and stumbled on a child porn site.

If she is earning a salary and paying taxes doing something legal then yes it's a job. How long will it last is another question.

Sounds like a real job and further more; one I could do. I scold people mentally all the time. If only I more closely resembled GrumpyCat!

+1 for real job. I don't have cable or satellite so I do a lot of YouTubeing, plenty of people out there making a living off of posting original content.

That is the reason I like YouTube - i don't have pay (cable)TV. I refuse to have pay TV because the company in would have to use Foxtel is owned by Rupert Murdoch. Also there are far too many commercials on Foxtel and too many repeats. If I sponsor Steve Shives as little as $1 a month I get about 4 hours of original content and avoid the commercials - or else give him nothing at all and put up with a commercial at the beginning of video.
