Is there a better way for Picard to Make up for Yelling at Wesley then inviting him on the bridge?

WesleysDisciple

Lieutenant Commander
Red Shirt
Picards yelling "What the hell no children o n the bridge!" Was asinine but I think theirs a better way to make up for it then inviting him on the bridge the scene tthat follows is cringe worthy. And Im usually a wesley Crusher fan. Should he have just said "Sorry dont know what I was thinking" or some such?

He could put the moves on his mother, & then be like "Not as funny when someone is getting cozy where YOU don't want them to be is it?"

When your design aesthetic is luxury cruise liner, you're bound to get kids wandering around all the way up to the bridge.

Maybe you let them blow the horn or touch the wheel, but do you let them steer the ship later on in the season? Many interesting choices were made at this time, lol.

And give them a cheap plastic starfleet badge to show their friends.

Surely the computer should prevent them from ever reaching it? Wesley shouldn't have been able to just wander into a turbolift and get to the bridge. The computer should recognize that he's not authorized to be there.

Unless Wes is smart enough to override the computer, which I guess is possible...

Is this your first day? Starfleet security is a joke. ;)

Wesley did nothing wrong, so Picard should not have been upset with him.
It was Picard's responsibility to ensure that all crew knew that children were not permitted on the bridge. It was Crusher's responsibility to know that rule and ensure that it was followed.
