Is "The Filnmaker Checklist" of any use?

Once again, I wouldn't know if it were any good even if I read it for a month, so I am asking if anyone here who has actual film experience knows about this and has an opinion. Negative or positive, just any old opinion on if this is useful. In making a list of useful links, I would prefer to NOT include useless ones, but if this is useful... then I'd like to include it.

Super! Thanks!

Er... does that mean you think a first timers or novice trying to make a fan film would benefit from this? Because what I'm doing is collecting links for that person.

I've tentatively added it to my link collection, but I'd love to hear from anyone who has made a film, has read this, and holds an opinion about it.

well, it seems to be trying hard to sell his stuff. But...yes, and no.

It's a good starting place for someone who doesn't know anything about filmmaking. A good 60% of it has to be thrown out for fanfilms, but it's still a starting place.

Someone should do one for fanfilms ;-)

Thanks... I guess I'll keep the link for whatever it's worth... at least until I find something more appropriate. You might be surprised to learn that I get messages from would-be filmmakers often who somehow decide I know something about filmmaking. I have typically sent them here, but I finally decided to create a collection of links for them. I'm still coming here to vet them, though. I have no clue how to make a film.
