I'm not sure who all remembers, but a few years back this guy found a complete Enterprise-D bridge replica just sitting out somewhere (I can't remember if it was outside a warehouse or what, but it was exposed to the elements) and took it upon himself to start a new restoration project, including a Hollywood Sci-Fi museum where you could not only visit the TOS and TNG bridges, but explore practically every facet of Science Fiction in movies and TV, from Battlestar Galactica to Doctor Who to Firefly. Problem is, not long after he made plans to do all this, the guy supposedly got in some serious trouble for some disturbing activity, pled guilty to it, and is now a registered sex offender. The whole thing seemed doomed, so I figured it was dead and buried. Then I stumbled upon this:

The most recent post on the facebook link is January 5th of THIS YEAR. Now, I haven't looked too much into it, but the guy is not necessarily in jail, nor is he listed among the board of directors anymore. So I have no idea what's going on. Does anyone seriously think this Hollywood Sci-Fi museum will ever open? Or has the proverbial ship already sailed?
