Is the Dominion War relevant again?

Bad Thoughts

The first time I can remember someone describing DS9 as relevant to contemporary politics was in the early 00s. I can remember, though, where I heard or read it, but it focused on the theme of giving up freedom for security as presented in Homefront and Paradise Lost. I haven't heard anyone say it about the current crisis, so I thought I would pose the question:

Why might DS9 continue to be relevant?

I don't want to reference current events themselves, but focus on the structure of DS9's stories. IMO the exploration of WWII themes and the examination of the limits of idealism gives DS9 its own sense of Realpolitik. Any other thoughts?
