Is She Still Alive?

Go to the literature forums and look up the novels Fearful Symmetry, Warpath and I think she also appears in the Terok Nor novels...though I'm not sure since I haven't read them (The Terok Nor series).

I just finished the Terok Nor Trilogy and I dont remember her mentioned in the books. (one of my favorite series of Star Trek books). But.. I believe she is the center character in the latest DS9 book.. or at least half of it. (the book is in two parts).

That would be Fearful Symmetry.

On the Terok Nor thing, I thought someone mentioned something about her in one of the threads about the novel in the lit forum. Could have been mistaken.

Because the DS9 team would've been mad over something from their series being used in another Trek series. They had something against being tied to the rest of Trek, I still remember the fuss raised over the Defiant being in First Contact.

Seska was Iliana, so she's dead now

Then why is her name Seska & not Iliana?

May have been a good concept tho. Wonder why it wasn't considered. Would have made a hell of a story line.

Plus Seska didn't look anything like Kira.

Why would it be a good concept? You wouldn't be able to develop anything meaningful in either series on air.

The fuss was raised because the First Contact team wanted to blow up the Defiant without even consulting the DS9 team.

Funny, seeing how Moore co-wrote FC and you'd think he'd have known about that. But Behr was the only one really vocal over it.

I figured it was just that the Defiant was in the movie at all.

The Defiant fuss was over it being trashed, not destroyed. It meant they couldn't use it without violating continuity for a while.

Not really, just say that since it's tech and design were more miniaturized than the bigger Fed ships it can be more easily repaired.

Or just write in that they completed most repairs.

No the fuss was over the destruction storyline - briefly they were looking into Worf arriving on another ship (there was a sketch of the ship Endeavor I believe in the TNG Sketchbook) but when Behr and Co said they didn't mind the Defiant being damaged they approved it and Endeavor was scrapped.
