Is Klingon honor a bunch of hooey?

Of course it is.

Every big nation has it's catchphrase that is full of BS. America has a bunch "we are #1" "liberty and justice for all" and so on.

It sounds cool on paper and we'd love to be those things for real, but it is just public relations at best.

I admit, I had a hilarious theory that the whole "Viking outfit" stuff was a fashion after Praxis--the result of Klingons trying desperately to pretend they were still cool after having the Federation export food to them like North Korea.

Actually, the Vikings wore more practical clothing than the Klingons - whatever armour they could best afford :-)

In this case, the Klingons we see are nobles so presumably that's the equivalent of popinjay dandy clothing you'd see around Elizabethian courts.

Rules are Rules!!!

Well, unless by changing a rule you can get an advantage! ;)

Are we being sarcastic or just flat out saying how the High Council runs, because all indications are that it's the latter.

Not a trace of sarcasm there, that is exactly how the High Council runs!

Someone betrays the Khitomer outpost and works for the Romulans? His entire family must be disgraced - unless he's a member of a powerful family, in which case they shift the blame somewhere else!!
