Is "Ebert & Roeper" returning at some point?

I miss Ebert & Roeper. Somehow, my Sundays just don't feel complete anymore without that show at 11pm. What really surprised me though was that not only is Roeper gone but ABC15 has also opted not to bring back the new version of At the Movies or Reel Talk, the inferior show that they used to air right after Ebert & Roeper.

It's a real shame, especially since I was just starting to get used to Richard Roeper. He was finally starting to tone down his smarmy, jackass tendencies.

Wow...I didn't realize that "Ebert and Roeper" was off the air. I mean, I knew Ebert was gone and Roeper seemed to have a rotating co-reviewer. What happened there? Why the change?

The whole "whiteness bitching" blogger is doing just that, bitching. Yes, the show's new direction is the wrong one and it's now on one big freefall into oblivion with its attempt at "kewlness," but it wouldn't matter what color the guests are.

In fact, the one black guy they have on that satellite teleconference thing -- who was actually one of the many guests hosts who appeared on the show before -- is really no different than the two main hosts. Among other things, the guy liked Dungeon Siege!!!

Roeper's new website is still under construction, so I imagine when it comes back up we might get a glance at his future plans.

Ebert, who was still a producer of his show also plans on doing another one. Whether or not the two work on the same project isn't known, but I doubt it'll be the same project.

No word on Ebert's site, either.

Here in the Bay Area they also have not carried the new version of the show. And from what I've read, that's a good thing.

It's airing in the Bay Area. I saw it on Channel 7 last week - 6:30pm Sundays - I expect it will be on today as well.

If "flare guy" from Office Space made a TV show that reviewed movies, it would look like this.
