Started watching season 2 of Iron Fist. Some improvements over season 1. Some weaknesses are carried over. The acting, overall, is better as the actors clearly have a better grip on their characters. Sadly, however, the writing still is confusing, contradictory and weak. "Cogent" is not a word that could be applied to the storytelling in this newest season of the series.
Five episodes in and the most confusing character is that of Joy Meachum. Her motivations verge on the nonsensical as they are said to be rooted in the events of season 1 but her rationale strips away all context. Davos is the only who seems to be focused and well written. Oddly enough Ward Meachum comes across as the most likeable, if not relatable, character in the cast. Thankfully the character of Claire Temple has been omitted this time around. Rosario Dawson is a fine actress, however, Claire was a near useless character.
