If she says, "we are the Flash" one more time, I'm dumping that show for good. It's become really bad. Ralph is no replacement for H.R., and far as Iris is concerned, no character on TV annoys me more than she. How does a failed journalist end up being the leader of Team Flash? Stupid.
Who is playing Iris in the new movie, if its still happening? Kiersey Clemons. She's done a lot of TV, but not a lot that I didn't give up on quickly.
Was she a failed journalist? IIRC, her journalism career was doing just fine last time she was bothering to pursue it, but, much like the way Arrow forgot about Laurel's DA career to make her yet another vigilante, the Flash writers can't be bothered to write (or think their audience doesn't want) compelling stories about non-superheroes/vigilantes.
Logically she is an employee of STARLabs. Further more logically, whatever they claim is her job to the IRS, is not commensurate with how much Barry is paying her to lead team Flash. Iris must not want to be a reporter, because that future times newspaper which they all used to care about, insisted that she would be a reporter in 2024, when the Flash gets frakked by Crisis. She didn't marry Eddie, but that would have hooked her up with his pension. Iris was hired as a one trick wonder, by the local rag because she knew the Flash in passing. It's kinda insincere, if she keeps reporting on her boyfriend/husband as if Barry is a masked mystery man, you know, like how Peter Parker makes money from Photographing himself as Spider-Man for the Daily Bugle.
It's actually the title of the season finale: https://www.spoilertv.com/2018/04/the-flash-episode-423-season-finale.html
