iPhone 5 revealed?

That thing looks almost too small. I'd be afraid of snapping it in half!

They should make these things into devices that can be strapped onto a wrist and worn like a Dick Tracy-style watch communicator. :techman:

I love that we have the technology to make things that small, but that doesn't mean we need to do it all the time.

yah, there has to be a limit, how bout keep them the same size an use the extra space to add more power

Ditto that. On top of the fact everyone will be buy some kind of protective skin or case for it. Why not make the innards slimmer, add padded polycarbonate shell to protect it so you can drop it a few times and even leave it out in the rain and not have it rendered useless? I mulled over a Motorola that is built to mil spec and can be immersed in 5 feet of water for up to 30 minutes. Just a standard clamshell phone design but would be nice to have that in a smartphone. Not that I take it skin diving, but I do get caught out in the rain occasionally.

Read the bottom addendum which states this rumour is unfounded.

Nevertheless I think thinner and returning to a rounded edge would be ergonomically poor - you don't want to risk losing your grip on it, right? I think the iPhone 4 is a good balance: thinner, but the squared-off edge is easier to hold.

Fix the antenna and have more storage and I'd be happy. Someday I'd like to be able to sync my entire iTunes library; I'll need a 64+GB iPhone for that...

Expect near-daily reports, articles and rumors about the next iteration of the iPhone until Apple finally gets around to announcing it (which, depending on these reports, articles and rumors, could be anywhere from June to September).

I'm interested in upgrading from my two and a half year old iPhone 3G to the next generation once it's released.
